Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum (Norwalk)

Landscape improvements at the National Historic Landmark including shrub and flower borders, planters, painting, and continuous landscape maintenance. Also funded the archival restoration of the deteriorated and earliest surviving landscape plan of the estate from 1873, which now hangs in the museum.

Landscape improvements at the Mill Hill Historical Park including benches, plantings, state-approved gravestone research and restoration efforts of the 250 year-old burying ground, and continuous fundraising efforts to support the Children's Education Fund.

Landscape improvements to the historic church grounds,  including state-approved gravestone research and restoration efforts of the 270-year-old burying ground, the design and installation of a stone labyrinth and healing meditation garden, benches, plantings, and continuous landscape maintenance.  Also, designed and annually install a solemn Memorial Week flag display for soldiers lost in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Site-Specific Educational Artwork in Public Parks 

“Milk Jug Labyrinth” was a temporary site-specific artwork, consisting of a 100 ft. diameter labyrinth made up of recycled milk jugs, meant to be a fun and inspirational way to raise awareness about the environmental benefits of recycling milk jugs.

“Love Meadow” was a temporary site-specific artwork, consisting of the word “LOVE” spelled out in 30 foot letters of wildflowers, meant to be a fun and inspirational way to learn about eco-friendly lawn alternatives, and about the rich history of the formal estate turned public park where it was located.

“Plastic Woods” was a temporary site-specific artwork, consisting of a large-scale interactive sculpture made up of recycled boat shrink wrap, meant to be a fun and inspirational way to raise awareness about how recycling can help alleviate a serious waste-disposal issue. Enormous amounts of white plastic boat shrink wrap is removed from winterized boats every spring in northern climates, where it is often discarded into landfills instead of being recycled into lumber and other products.
